Dr James Milne
MBChB, DCH, FC Derm (SA)
Dr James Milne completed his medical training at the University of Cape Town in 1991 and specialised at Groote Schuur Hospital under internationally respected Dermatologists Professor Norma Saxe and Professor Gail Todd. He qualified as a Consultant Dermatologist in 2001 and shortly thereafter relocated with his family to the UK to join Gloucester Royal Hospital.
He has expertise in all general skin conditions and has special interests in skin cancer, inflammatory skin disease, and facial skin conditions prticulary acne and rosacea. He is currently employed by the Gloucestershire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and does NHS clinics at Cheltenham General, Gloucester Royal, Tewksbury, and North Cotswold hospital . He does private sessions at the Nuffield Hospital, and Stratum clinic.
Dr Milne has acted in various capacities in the Dermatology department including clinical lead and governance lead. He is currently Skin cancer lead clinician and chair of the specialist skin cancer multidisciplinary team.
He is passionate about dermatology and, with his colleagues, has been instrumental in developing a first class Dermatology service in Gloucestershire.
